ANKARA (Turkey), March 30 (SeeNews) – Registrations of road motor vehicles in Turkey rose by 56.2% year-on-year in February, reaching 53,135, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the number of commercial vehicle registrations fell by 43.8% in February, TurkStat said in a statement.
In terms of types of vehicles, registrations of special tractors increased the most in the period under review - by 98.5% compared to February 2019.
Registrations of cars were up 73.6%, while those of trucks rose 68.3% year-on-year. For small trucks the rise was 67.9%, for buses 61.1%, for mini-buses 6.9% and for motorcycles 4.6%.
Registrations of special purpose vehicles decreased by 43.1% on the year in February.
Of the total number of road motor vehicles registered in February, cars accounted for 60.3%, followed by motorcycles 15.2%, small trucks 13.9%, tractors 5.9%, trucks 2.3%, mini-buses 1.1%, buses 1.0% and special purpose vehicles 0.3%.
