May 20 (SeeNews) - Turkish businessman Kudret Tuncel and British businessman Mehdi Shams have acquired some 70% stake in Turkish air carrier Onur Air for $250 million (195 million euro), Turkish media reported Monday.
The new owners of the company will take the remaining shares in Onur Air from Cankurt Bagana in July, Turkish daily Zaman said.

The Turkish Competition Authority has approved the transaction, according to the report.
Kudret Tuncel is the founder of Enes Makina, active in the cosmetics sector. Mehdi Shams is the owner of Home Persian company which has offices in the US, Britain, Germany, Dubai, China and Iran.
Onur Air makes flights to 80 destinations in 20 countries and to 12 destinations in domestic lines with its 34 aircraft fleet, the company says on its website.
