December 21 (SeeNews) - Turkey's consumer confidence index dropped to 68.9 points in December from 71.1 points in the previous month, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
The index stood at 80.1 points in December 2020.
The sub-index measuring the current financial situation of households compared to the last 12 months decreased to 54.1 points in December from 56.1 points in November, while the sub-index tracking financial situation expectations for the next 12 months went down 5.3% month-on-month to 65.2 points, TurkStat said in a statement.
The general economic situation expectation sub-index fell 2.2% on a monthly comparison basis to 66.7 points in December.
The sub-index measuring the assessment of spending money on durable goods in the next 12 months decreased by 1.9% on a monthly comparison basis in December, to 89.6 points.
