October 11 (SeeNews) - Turkish energy company Calik Energy, part of diversified group Calik Holding, has signed an agreement to install a 230 megawatt (MW) natural gas combined cycle power plant (CCPP) in Georgia, Calik Holding said.
Calik Enerji will use General Electric turbines at the plant, located in Gardabani, which will start producing power in 740 days, Calik Holding said in a statement on its website.
Calik Enerji has signed the agreement with Georgia's state-owned investment vehicle JSC Partnership Fund, the latter said in a statement on its website. JSC Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC), a wholly-owned unit of JSC Partnership Fund, will finance the project.
