ISTANBUL (Turkey), January 8 (SeeNews) – Turkish investment bank Aktif Yatirim Bankasi [BIST:AKTIF], or Aktif Bank, said it has decided to appoint Ahmet Galip Tozge as chief executive officer (CEO) and board member.
The bank will apply to Turkey’s Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) for approval of the proposed appointment, it said in a bourse filing on Wednesday.
Tozge will replace CEO and board member Onder Halisdemir who stepped down as CEO and board member on January 6.
Tozge has been executive vice president and head of retail banking at local lender Akbank since 2002.
Aktif Bank is a privately-owned investment bank controlled by local conglomerate Calik Group.
