September 23 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourist arrivals in Turkey increased 10.67% to 24.1 million people in the first eight months of 2013, the country's tourism ministry said Monday.
In August alone, the number of foreign visitors in Turkey rose 10.64% on the year to 4.9 million people, data from the ministry's August bulletin showed. In July, foreign tourist arrivals in Turkey rose by 0.48% year-on-year.
Visitors from Russia had the largest share in the total number of foreign visitors to Turkey in August, of 14.87%, followed by visitors from Germany, the UK, Georgia, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, France, Iran, Iraq, Syria, among others.
