October 18 (SeeNews) - Trading in shares of Bulgarian resort operator Albena [BUL:6AB] generated 85% of the turnover on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday, bourse data showed.
The turnover on the Sofia bourse rose to 4.7 million levs ($2.8 million/2.4 million euro) on Wednesday from 4.5 million levs on Tuesday, when Galata Investment and Regala Invest generated 71% of the total.
A total of 60,499 shares of Albena changed hands at an average price of 62.50 levs per share, generating a turnover of 3.8 million levs.
Industrial Holding Bulgaria [BUL:4ID] rose the most among blue chips on the Sofia bourse, closing 3.73% higher at 1.0 levs.
Financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:4EH] was the top blue chip decliner, closing 1.07% lower at 1.295 levs.
The blue-chip SOFIX index fell 0.08% to 670.55 points on Wednesday after a 0.12% increase on Tuesday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, shed 0.28% to 130.98 points, after edging up 0.03% on Tuesday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, lost 0.18% to 114.77 points on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the index closed 0.13% lower.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 0.09% to 546.98 points, following a 0.03% decrease on Tuesday.
