BELGRADE (Serbia), January 27 (SeeNews) – Total foreign remittances to Serbia decreased by 0.7% year-on-year to 3.151 billion euro ($3.473 billion) in the first eleven months of 2019, central bank data shows.
In November alone, total foreign remittances to Serbia, including all current transfers between resident and non-resident households, grew by 0.4% on the year to 186 million euro, according to figures published by the central bank in a balance of payments report.
The remittances of citizens working abroad went down by 2.8% year-on-year in the first eleven months of 2019 to 2.386 billion euro, after rising 0.1% on the year to 197 million euro in November, the data showed.
The flow of foreign remittances into Serbia increased to 3.43 billion euro in 2018 from 2.96 billion euro in 2017.
