BELGRADE (Serbia), October 22 (SeeNews) – Serbian state-controlled Telekom Srbija and United Group, a leading multi-play telecommunications and media services provider in Southeast Europe, have joined the European Telecommunications Network Operators’ Association (ETNO), the organisation said.
Telekom Srbija and United Group were welcomed as ETNO members at the association's 58th general assembly in Malta, it said in a statement last week.
"It is a great honor and an obligation to be in the company of the largest European telecommunications operators. We believe that the admission to full membership is a confirmation of our good job so far, but also an opportunity to learn and improve a lot through our cooperation with the best in our industry," Serbian news agency Tanjug quoted Predrag Culibrk, CEO of Telekom Srbija, as saying.
ETNO members are pan-European operators that also hold new entrant positions outside their national markets. The association brings together the main investors in innovative and high-quality e-communications platforms and services, representing 70% of total sector investment, according to data from the corporate website.
