July 23 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's biggest telecommunications operator Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] said its consolidated net profit fell 40% on the year to 14.5 million euro ($17.0 million) in the first half of 2018.
The group's consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) dropped 6% on the year to 100.9 million euro in January-June, while net sales revenue edged down 2% to 360.0 million euro, Telekom Slovenije said in a filing with the Ljubljana bourse on Friday.
The telco's operating revenue also decreased 2% on the year to 363.0 million euro.
Telekom Slovenije noted that due to EU regulations the group is faced with higher operating costs and lower revenues on the mobile segment of the end-user market.
