March 8 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's biggest telecommunications operator, state-controlled Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG], recorded a consolidated net profit of 47.1 million euro ($51.5 million) last year, up 25% from 37.5 million euro in 2022, it said.
The company's consolidated operating revenue grew 7% to 708.2 million euro in 2023, exceeding plan by 4%, Telekom Slovenije said in an annual financial report filed with the Ljubljana bourse on Thursday.
"The Telekom Slovenije Group increased the number of mobile users by 4% and the number of retail broadband connections by 1% relative to the end of 2022," it said.
EBITDA went up 6% to 228.6 million euro, while EBIT rose 27% to 64.1 million euro.
Return on sales increased to 9.2% in 2023 from 7.7% a year earlier, while net financial debt went down to 355.7 million euro from 401.2 million euro.
The consolidated statement includes the results of Telekom Slovenije d.d ., its Slovenian companies Avtenta, GVO, Planet TV, Soline, TSinpo, TSmedia, and its subsidiary in Kosovo - IPKO.
