July 29 (SeeNews) - A Swedish investor will open a tissue paper factory worth some 30 million euro ($33.4 million) in Croatia's Belisce, some 250 kilomtres east of Zagreb, local media reported on Monday.
"It is project worth 30 million euro, the investor is from Sweden and it has sent a letter of intent to the town of Belisce related to its wish to invest", news portal Glas-slavonije.hr quoted Belisce mayor Dinko Buric as saying.
The new factory will open 70 jobs at the beginning of operations.
The investor intends to buy from the town the industrial buildings of the former Belisce Combine as well as the land on which they are built. The town council has bought the land and the buildings on it for 1 million kuna from British-based international packaging company DS Smith.
