November 8 (SeeNews) - Polish restaurant operator AmRest Holdings, the franchisee of coffee house chain Starbucks in Bulgaria, said on Wednesday it has opened its seventh Starbucks store in the country.
The new store, located in Sofia Ring Mall, covers 232 sq m and can accommodate up to 116 people, AmRest said in a statement.
"We will continue our expansion in Bulgaria in 2018 with the opening of another shop in Burgas and we are in negotiations with our partners to expand our presence in the country," Ivan Georgiev, regional manager of Starbucks Bulgaria, said in the statement.
AmRest Holdings now operates six Starbucks stores in Sofia and one in Burgas, on the Black Sea coast. The company is the sole operator of Starbucks stores in Central and Eastern Europe.
AmRest Holdings also operates stores under the KFC, Pizza Hut and Burger King brands.
Starbucks, established in 1971, comprises 23,000 stores in over 70 countries.
