SOFIA (Bulgaria), January 9 (SeeNews) – Trading in blue-chip drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] generated 42% of the turnover on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange on Monday, bourse data showed.
A total of 221,550 Sopharma shares changed hands at an average price of 3.123 levs apiece.
Stock turnover rose to 1.64 million levs ($880,000/830,000 euro) from 293,500 levs on Friday.
The blue-chip SOFIX index advanced 0.63% to 595.74 points, after adding 0.41% on Friday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, increased by 0.52% to 112.56 points, after increasing by 0.21% on Friday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, fell 0.16% to 107.11 points, after closing 0.27% higher on Friday.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, closed 0.02% higher at 459.67 points, after falling 0.10% on Friday.
Fibank [BUL:5F4] was the top blue-chip gainer, adding 3.01% to 3.77 levs, as 10,629 of the company’s shares changed hands on the Sofia bourse on Monday.
Holding Varna [BUL:5V2] led the blue-chip decliners on Wednesday, falling by 6.43% to 30.877 levs, with 25 shares traded.
