March 29 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian Stock Exchange indices closed higher on Friday as financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:4EH] gained 12.94% to 1.92 levs.
Eurohold Bulgaria shares have been extremely volatile since last week, when the company announced plans to seek 154.1 million levs in a cap hike, in which the company will offer 79,010,240 preferred shares. The group's share price initially soared 20%, but subsequently lost all its gains in the following two trading sessions.
The financial and insurance group is a member of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange blue-chip SOFIX index, the wider BGBX40 and the equally-weighted BGTR30.
The SOFIX index gained 1.65% to 583.87 points on Friday. Besides Eurohold, diversified group Holding Varna [BUL:5V2] surged 6.28%, while Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SKK] and Doverie United Holding [BUL:5DOV], added 2.04% and 2.00%, respectively.
The BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, advanced 1.15% to 116.27 points, while the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, rose 1.01% to 506.03 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, increased 0.37% to 120.64 points, as Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:5BU] and Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:6A6] gained 1.06% and 0.78%, respectively.
Total trading turnover on the BSE regulated market edged up to 303,000 levs ($174,000/155,000 euro) on Friday from 280,000 levs on Thursday.
