June 1 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange blue-chips SOFIX index started the week with a hefty 1.84% rise to 461.06 points, as small speculative trades sent the shares of hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:5MH] up 15.38%.
The trading session saw just two deals with M+S Hydraulic shares, for a total volume of 18 shares. The shares closed the trading session at 6.45 levs following a deal for 8 shares, while the other deal - for 10 shares, was priced even higher - 9 levs apiece.
M+S Hydraulic is also a constituent of the wider BGBX40 index and the equally-weighted BGTR30 index.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, rose 1.13% to 97.52 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 0.77% to 469.84 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, increased 0.62% to 134.28 points.
Total regulated market trading turnover amounted was much higher than usual, and amounted to 607,000 levs ($346,000/310,000 euro) on Monday.
