January 16 (SeeNews) - All five indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed higher on Tuesday, with the blue-chip SOFIX increasing 0.21% to 774.57 points, bourse data showed.
SOFIX was spurred on by the Bulgarian Stock Exchange [BUL:BSE] and hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:MSH]. The BSE added 3.92% to 15.90 levs, whereas M+S Hydraulic rose 1.80% to 11.30 levs.
The BSE and M+S Hydraulic also lifted the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The biggest gainer in the BGBX40, however, was civil engineering company Trace Group Hold [BUL:T57], which jumped 10.00% to 4.40 levs.
Overall, the BGBX40 went up 0.19% to 159.66 points, while the BGTR30 climbed 0.35% to 807.58 points.
The BGREIT, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, soared by 1.12% to 193.97 points. The index was mostly boosted by Sopharma Buildings REIT [BUL:SFB], which surged 14.61% to 20.40 levs.
Finally, the BEAMX index, which tracks the most highly capitalised growth companies, ended the session 0.35% higher at 102.97 points. It was buoyed by a 6.16% leap in MFG Invest [BUL:MFG] to 3.10 levs and a 1.98% increase in investment firm HR Capital [BUL:HRC] to 2.06 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the BSE grew to 936,160 levs ($520,867/478,649 euro) on Tuesday from 619,005 levs on Monday.
The day's top stock by turnover, generating 199,724 levs with 101,900 shares traded, was diversified group Republic Holding [BUL:HREP]. The stock closed 1.51% lower at 1.96 levs.
