January 31 (SeeNews) - All indices of the Bulgarian stock exchange lost ground on Tuesday as Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:4CF] was the top blue-chip decliner, bourse data showed.
The lender closed 6.30% lower at 1.472 levs as 41,680 shares changed hands.
CEZ Distribution Bulgaria [BUL:3CZ], a unit of Czech power company CEZ, fell by 5.46% to 225.00 levs as nine shares changed hands. On Monday, the company's shares added 8.93%.
CEZ said on Friday it will probe the market in relation to its equity investments in Bulgaria following interest shown by several investors.
Another CEZ unit, CEZ Electro Bulgaria [BUL:1CZ], did not trade on Tuesday, after its shares lost 13.24% to a close of 19,000 levs a day earlier.
BSE's total stock trading turnover shrank to 825,000 levs ($454,000/420,400 euro) from 1.8 million on Monday.
The blue-chip SOFIX index decreased by 1.21% to 602.28 points, after dropping by 0.07% on Monday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, decreased 1.44% to 116.97 points, following a drop by 0.82% on Monday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of the real estate investment trusts, decreased by 0.09% to 107.34 points on Tuesday. On Monday, the index edged down 0.16%.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, closed 0.90% lower at 470.35 points, after rising 0.60% on Monday.
Car battery manufacturer MonBat [BUL:5MB] led the blue-chip gainers on Tuesday, rising 1.51% to 9.979 levs in a trading volume of 352 shares.
Chimimport [BUL:6C4] was the most traded blue-chip company on Tuesday as 78,818 shares changed hands at an average price of 1.630 levs per share.
