March 6 (SeeNews) - All four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) continued their positive performance on Monday, with the blue-chip SOFIX growing the most, by 0.77% to 629.17 points.
SOFIX was mainly boosted by a 7.45% rise in hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:MSH] to 10.10 levs. Additionally, First Investment Bank (Fibank) [BUL:FIB] jumped by 5.26% to 2.40 levs.
The two companies also pushed up the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. Overall, the index rose by 0.65% to 738.00 points.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, climbed by 0.50% to 143.04 points. While supported by M+S and Fibank, the index’s top gainer was Oil and Gas Exploration and Production [BUL:NGAZ], which surged by 16.81% to 6.60 levs.
Finally, the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, advanced by 0.50% to 187.51 points. It was backed by Bulgarian Real Estate Fund [BUL:BREF], which rose by 1.90% to 2.14 levs. The only other gainer was Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER], which climbed by 0.62% to 3.27 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange surged to 1.82 million levs ($993,720/930,551) on Monday from 379,036 levs on Friday.
The day’s top stock by turnover was diversified group Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH], generating 534,796 levs. The stock closed 0.25% higher at 7.98 levs with 67,017 shares traded.
