October 18 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange blue-chip SOFIX index grew strongly on Friday, rising 1.05% to its highest closing value in the past month, of 429.83 points.
Ten of the SOFIX's fifteen members posted rises in their share price on Friday, as diversified group Holding Varna [BUL:5V2] led the way with a 4.23% increase.
Local groups Doverie United Holding [BUL:5DOV] and Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SKK] also saw hefty gains, of 3.64% and 3.17%, respectively.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, increased 0.48% to 97.70 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, advanced 0.23% to 484.58 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, lost 0.13% to 136.34 points, dragged down by a 1.20% decrease in the share price of Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:5BU].
Total daily regulated market trading turnover amounted to 580,000 levs ($348,000/297,000 euro).
