December 30 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange's blue-chip SOFIX index rose 1.14% to 568.14 points on Monday, predominantly backed by a 12.82% increase in the share price of financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:4EH], bourse data showed.
Eurohold Bulgaria's shares recovered after they lost 5.45% on Friday.
The rise in the SOFIX was also supported by Doverie United Holding [BUL:5DOV] and Industrial Holding Bulgaria [BUL:4ID], which gained 2.40% and 2.00%, respectively.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, closed 0.97% higher at 111.83 points. Severcoop Gamza Holding [BUL:6S4] was the major gainer among the members of the index, recording a rise of 16.57% rise in its share price.
The BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 1.47% to 516.28 points, as the gainers' side of the list was also dominated by Severcoop Gamza Holding.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts was the only index to close lower on Monday, shedding 0.22% to 130.03 points.
Total daily regulated market turnover rose to some 959,900 levs, from 439,000 levs during the previous trading session.
