December 21 (SeeNews) - The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, hit an all-time high for a second time this week, closing 1.02% higher at 119.50 points on Friday.
The index reached an all-time high value of 119.34 points on Monday but then posted a three-day losing streak.
Balkan and Sea Properties REIT [BUL:5H4] gained most among its peers on Friday, adding 3.90% to 16.0 levs.
CCB Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:5CK] and Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:5CK] followed with gains of 0.84% and 0.51%, respectively.
Regulated market turnover totalled some 6.2 million levs ($3.6 million/3.2 million euro) - the highest daily turnover so far this month.
All other major indices on the exchange also ended Friday's trading session in the green, backed a strong increase in shares in diversified group Holding Varna [BUL:5V2] and battery maker Monbat [BUL:5MB].
Holding Varna's share price grew 7.77% to 41.6 levs, while Monbat added 5.26% to 8.0 levs.
Monbat announced post-trading hours on Thursday that it has acquired licensing rights for the full suite of GreenSeal Bipolar Lead battery technologies of US-based Advanced Battery Concepts. The technology simplifies the lead battery manufacturing process and improves lead battery performance by increasing cycle life, lowering weight, reducing recharge time and improving reliability, Monbat explained.
The blue-chip SOFIX index gained 1.03% to 594.85 points, erasing all its losses in December.
The BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, added 0.66% to 115.92 points, while the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, rose 0.22% to 494.09 points.
