May 22 (SeeNews) - Spanish women's health company Woom will enter the Bulgarian market after it closed a 2 million euro ($2.2 million) seed round led by BrightCap Ventures, the Sofia-headquartered early-stage venture capital firm said.
"We have strong confidence in the founders’ expertise in building active communities and solving clear women’s health challenges with a data-driven, customised solution. We are also proud to have attracted a European start-up to build a team in Bulgaria, leveraging the tech talent here," Elina Halatcheva, partner at BrightCap Ventures said in a statement on Thursday.
The current round will accelerate Woom ’s geographic expansion and product development, the statement reads.
Madrid-based Woom, founded in 2015, is a data model-driven start-up that provides fertility tracking services through its application.
