March 2 (SeeNews) - Serbia will most probably hold early general elections on April 24, the country's prime minister Aleksandar Vucic said, as quoted by the government.
Vucic said late on Tuesday that within two days the government will submit a proposal to the country's president to call early parliamentary elections, the government said in a statement published on its website.
In mid-January Vucic said he will call snap elections in an attempt to unblock reforms and to prepare Serbia for EU membership.
Serbia's coalition government comprises the Serbian Progressive Party, SNS, the left-wing Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) and Socialdemogratic Party of Serbia (SDP Srbije).
