LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), October 6 (SeeNews) – Slovenian low-cost carrier VLM Airlines said on Friday it is launching flights between Antwerp Airport and London City Airport on October 30.
After an absence of more than nine years, VLM Airlines will fly three daily services on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, four daily services on Thursdays and Fridays and two on Sundays, it said in a statement.
"The Antwerp-London City route is of great importance because it directly links two of the most important economic centres in Europe," Marcel Buelens, CEO of Antwerp & Ostend-Bruges Airports, is quoted saying.
In the following days VLM Airlines will announce further details about its Winter flying programme 2017-2018.
VLM Airlines, a low-cost carrier, is a subsidiary of Dutch-based investment company SHS Aviation B.V. It owns a fleet of six Fokker 50 aircraft.
