July 25 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's net electricity production rose 9% on the month to 1,443 GWh in June, while total electricity consumption decreased 1% to 1,112 GWh, the country's statistics office said on Monday.
Slovenia imported 553 GWh of electricity and exported 862 GWh last month, the statistics office said, citing provisional data.
Month-on-month, the output of Slovenia's hydro power plants and thermal power plants jumped by 17% each in June, while the output of the country's sole nuclear power plant shrank 4%.
In line with the higher production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption at main electricity producers in June increased by 8% from May.
