October 25 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's net electricity production fell 8% on the month to 1,229 GWh in September, while total electricity consumption increased by 5% to 1,123GWh, the country's statistics office said on Tuesday.
Slovenia imported 681 GWh of electricity and exported 767 GWh last month, the statistics office said, citing provisional data.
Month-on-month, the output of Slovenia's hydro power plants decreased 37%, generation by its thermal power plants increased by 22% and generation by the country's sole nuclear power plant Krsko fell 4%.
In line with the higher production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption in September 2016 also increased by 21%.
