LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), August 26 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's net electricity production decreased by 5% month-on-month to 1,347 GWh in July, while total electricity consumption rose by 2% to 1,183 GWh, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
The output of hydro power plants decreased by 39%, the output of thermal power plants rose by 42%, while the electricity production of Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant, Krsko, grew by 2% as compared to the June level, the office of statistics said, citing provisional data.
In line with the higher production at the thermal power plants, fuel consumption increased by 47%.
In July, Slovenia imported 761 GWh of electricity and exported 900 GWh.
