LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), October 25 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's net electricity production decreased by 11% month-on-month to 1,021 GWh in September, while total electricity consumption fell by 6% on the month to 1,051 GWh, the statistical office said on Friday.
The September output of the country's hydro power plants decreased by 25%, the output of the thermal power plants fell by 9%, while the electricity production of Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant, Krsko, shrank by 3% as compared to August, the office of statistics said in a statement, citing provisional data.
In line with the lower production of the thermal power plants, fuel consumption also declined - by 11%.
In September, Slovenia imported 707 GWh of electricity and exported 649 GWh, the office said without providing a monthly comparison.
