March 21 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's insurer Adriatic Slovenica, a subsidiary of financial services provider KD Group, said on Wednesday its net profit dropped to 11.4 million euro in 2017, from 11.9 million euro ($14.0 million) a year earlier.
Gross written premiums rose 1.7% on the year to 303.8 million euro in 2017, while gross claims paid increased to 223.4 million euro from 217.2 million euro in 2016, Adriatic Slovenica said in its audited financial statement posted on its website.
Out of the total gross written premiums, the insurer raised 140.5 million euro from non-life insurance, 61.2 million euro from life insurance and 102.1 million euro from health insurance.
Adriatic Slovenica's market share in Slovenia dropped to 14.0% in 2017, from 15.1% a year earlier.
Adriatic Slovenica, part of the KD Group, it provides insurance through non-life, life, pension and health insurances in Slovenia and in Croatia through its branch.
