LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), October 1 (SeeNews) – Slovenian aluminium producer Impol said its first-half consolidated net profit fell 6.6% on the year to 18.5 million euro ($20.1 million).
Impol Group's operating profit (EBIT), however, rose 5.6% year-on-year to 22.8 million euro in the six-month period, while EBITDA increased to 32.3 million euro from 29.6 million euro, Impol said in a filing with the Ljubljana bourse on Monday.
Impol Group generated net sales revenue of 378 million euro in the six months through June, which is 2.7% more than its revenue in the first six months of 2018.
The group employed 2,399 people at the end of June, up from 2,320 a year earlier.
The shares of management company Impol 2000, which controls Impol Group, last traded on the Ljubljana bourse on February 22, closing flat at 102.1 euro.
The core activity of Slovenska Bistrica-based Impol is the processing of aluminium into rolled, extruded, drawn and forged products, as well as other types of products.
