February 3 (SeeNews) - Slovenian energy group GEN-I has said its household customers reduced electricity consumption by 3% annually in the fourth quarter of 2022 as a result of its energy saving campaign.
"After the first three months of monitoring the amount of energy saved, we are now happy to announce that in the last three months of last year, household customers have reduced their consumption of electricity by 3% and natural gas by 22% compared to the same period in 2021," GEN-I said in a statement earlier this week.
GEN-I has been helping customers with energy-saving tips on the Moj GEN-I portal since October under the campaign, which aims to achieve a 10% total reduction in the consumption of energy products on an annual basis by promoting the economical use of energy among households, the company said.
The company also implements activities to reduce energy consumption in all its business units, with employees being encouraged to switch off electronic devices, while heating temperature has been limited.
