August 12 (SeeNews) - Slovenian chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] said on Monday it has repurchased 1,232 own shares, paying a total of 232,420 euro ($260,658).
Thus, Cinkarna Celje raised its treasury stock to 0.1772% from the previous 0.0248%, the company said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
The shares were acquired in several transactions last week. Cinkarna Celje bought back 700 own shares at 188.993 euro each on August 5, 159 shares at 189 euro apiece on August 6 and 373 shares at 187.866 euro on August 7.
After the transactions, Cinkarna Celje held 1,432 own shares as of August 9.
The decision for the share buyback was approved by the general shareholders' meeting of Cinkarna Celje on June 4.
On Monday, the company's shares closed 3.94% higher at 198 euro.
