LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), February 19 (SeeNews) – The number of building permits issued in Slovenia in January rose 6.0% month-on-month to 630, the office of national statistics said on Friday.
A total of 271 permits were issued for residential projects in January, down from December's 283, while 359 permits were issued for non-residential buildings, up from December's 316, the statistical office said in a statement.
On an annual comparison basis, the number of building permits issued in Slovenia in January rose 8.8%.
The floor area of the buildings for which permits were issued in January stood at some 179,733 sq m, down 8.7% compared to a month earlier, the statement read, without providing annual comparison.
The construction of 332 new dwellings was planned in the permits issued in January, down by a monthly 22.6%.
