May 26 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's net electricity production decreased by 2% month-on-month to 1,166 GWh in April, the statistical office said.
In annual terms, the country's power output was up 6%, the office of statistics said in a statement on Thursday, citing provisional data.
The April output of the country's hydropower plants went up 13% monthly and rose 27% yearly to 381 GWh.
The output of the thermal power plants in Slovenia totalled 238 GWh in April, down 12% on the year and 9% month-on-month, while Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant, Krsko, produced 502 GWh of electricity last month, up 1% on the year and down 3% on the month.
In April, Slovenia imported 741 GWh of electricity and exported 851 GWh. Imports fell 18% compared to the previous month, while exports decreased 3%.
On an annual comparison basis, imports declined 3% and exports went up 16%.
Nuclear energy had the largest share of 43% in Slovenia's total power production in April, followed by hydro energy with 32.7%, thermal with 20.4%, and solar and wind power with 3.8%.
