October 23 (SeeNews) - Slovenian stock indices on Friday bounced back from their mostly negative showing of late as turnover more than doubled, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.
The blue-chip SBITOP index inched 0.13% higher to 1,072.01 points and the broader SBI20 index gained 0.64% to 4,438.23 points.
On Thursday, the SBITOP dropped 1.18% and the SBI20 skidded 1.49%.
Three of the seven LJSE blue chips closed down. Rubber-to-tourism holding company Sava led the decliners, closing 1.94% lower at an average daily price of 195.53 euro ($293.7) in a volume of just 62 stocks.
Blue chip Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor was the top advancer, with a 2.65% daily rise to 13.93 euro as 29,834 of its shares were traded.
Drug maker Krka, a blue-chip heavyweight, was the most liquid stock, generating more than half of the daily turnover. A total of 32,043 of its stocks changed hands, ending 0.98% lower at 72.09 euro.
LJSE's total turnover surged to 4.0 million euro from 1.749 million euro on Thursday.
