April 7 (SeeNews) - Slovenian lender Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor (NKBM) recorded a consolidated net profit of 112.6 million euro ($122.7 million) in 2021, down from 210.8 million euro in the previous year, it said.
Net interest income declined to 144.2 million euro from 154.5 million euro, whereas net fee and commission income grew to 86.7 million euro from 73.5 million euro, NKBM said in an annual financial report posted on its website.
At the end of 2021, the achieved return on equity after taxation amounted to 11.04%, capital adequacy ratio (CAR) stood at 18.15%, while the share of net non-performing loans in total net loans amounted to 2.03%, NKBM said.
The bank reduced the number of branches to 69 at the end of 2021 from 100 a year earlier, while the number of employees fell to 1,631 from 1,903.
NKBM is owned by investment funds affiliated with and managed by Apollo Global Management (80%) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (20%).
