March 1 (SeeNews) - Macedonian non-life insurer Triglav Osiguruvanje [MSE:VROS], a unit of Slovenian insurance group Triglav, said its after-tax profit jumped to 54.6 million denars ($937,140/888,785 euro) last year from 18.7 million denars in 2015.
The company's total revenue rose 4.7% in 2016, reaching 1.19 billion denars, the Macedonian insurer said on Tuesday in its non-audited annual financial report filed with the Skopje bourse.
Net premium income grew 7.1% to 1.08 billion denars in 2016, while investment income increased 10.4% to 60 million denars.
Commission revenues from reinsurance rose 7.9% to 22.2 million denars, whereas other revenues declined to 14.8 million denars from 33.6 million denars in 2015.
The company's costs for 2016 added 1.4% to 1.12 billion denars.
On the non-life segment in Macedonia, Triglav competes with Vienna Insurance Group's units Osiguruvanje Makedonija and Winner, Sava Osiguruvanje, Euroins, Eurolink, Insig, Uniqa, Insurance Policy, Albsig, and Croatia Insurance.
