October 26 (SeeNews) - Slovenian blue-chip lender Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor (NKBM) said on Monday its preliminary profit from continuing operations totalled 14.7 million euro ($22.1 million) through September.
No comparative figures were immediately available.
NKBM's net interest income for the same period amounted to 78.3 million euro or 76% of the figure planned for 2009. Net fee and commission income was 33.3 million euro, which is 75% of the figure planned for this year, the bank said in the statement sent to the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
The bank's total assets stood at 4.8 billion euro at the end of September, 5.7% up from the end of 2008, the bank said.
Total shareholders' equity amounted to 367.1 million euro at the end of September, an increase of 33.3 million euro over the end-2008 figure, the statement said.
Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor said it is the second largest bank in the country. It serves some 300,000 clients.
NKBM shares were trading 0.07% up at 13.94 euro by 0843 GMT on Monday.
