December 21 (SeeNews) - The number of mobile phone users in Slovenia rose 1% on the year to some 2.35 million in the third quarter of 2015, the country’s Statistics Office said on Monday.
The number of mobile post-paid subscribers increased 3% on the year to 1.76 million, the statistics office said on its website.
Outgoing traffic from the mobile network in Slovenia increased by 1% on the year in the months from July through to September to almost 17 million hours.
The number of text messages sent rose 7% on the year to 586 million in the third quarter.
In the third quarter, outgoing voice traffic from fixed locations totalled 2.7 million hours, down 25% on the year.
Slovenia had 568,000 broadband Internet connections at end-September with xDSL connections having a 43% share. The number of broadband Internet connections was up by 3% on the year.
Slovenia has a population of around 2 million.
