May 6 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's government approved a 10.95 million euro ($11.6 million) investment by port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] in the first phase of the construction of a truck terminal, it said.
Luka Koper plans to invest a total of 29 million euro in the construction of the terminal until 2025, the Slovenian government said in a statement on Thursday.
In accordance with Luka Koper's concession agreement for the performance of port activities, the company should obtain the consent of the government before the implementation of the infrastructure regulation programme.
The Slovenian government owns a 51% stake in the capital of Luka Koper.
