April 13 (SeeNews) - Slovakia-based JOJ Media House said it agreed to acquire majority shares in Croatian newspapers Novi List, Glas Istre and Zadarski List.
Under the agreement JOJ Media House will acquire 80.23% of daily Novi List, 59% of Glas Istre and 100% of daily Zadarski List, it said in a press release last week.

"Our strategy is to invest in companies operating in the sector and I am very happy that our business can be extended to the Croatian market," JOJ Media House cjairman Richard Flimel said, as quoted in the press release. "I believe that our capital will contribute to enhancing the quality of these media in Croatia and that they will be able to continue to be leaders in their regions."
JOJ Media House operates in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Austria. In Slovakia it operates in the field of television advertising and production of television programs. It employs approximately 500 and achieved consolidated revenues of 142 million euro ($160 million) in 2014.
