February 6 (SeeNews) - The main index of the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE), the MBI10, rose 3.37% month-on-month in January, to 5,842.80 points, while total trading turnover decreased, the bourse said.
Turnover totalled 196.7 million denars ($3.4 million/3.2 million euro) in January, down 43.5% month-on-month, while turnover on the bourse's electronic system of trading (BEST) went down 34.6% to 196.7 million denars, the MSE said in a statement on Friday.
The number of transactions decreased 24.4% compared to December 2022, to 897.
The MSE's market capitalisation totalled 219.8 billion denars at the end of January, up 2.6% month-on-month and 3.8% lower on an annual comparison basis.
The MBI10 stood at 6,226.37 points at the end of January 2022. Trading turnover on the MSE totalled 901.8 million denars in January last year, earlier bourse data showed.
