January 17 (SeeNews) - Swedish construction group Skanska said on Tuesday it will invest 38 million euro ($40.2 million) in the first stage of a project for an office complex in Romania's capital Bucharest.
The completion of the first stage of the Campus 6 project in the central-western area of Bucharest will result in a total leasable area of about 22,000 sq m on 11 stories above ground and two levels of underground parking, Skanska said in a press release.
At the completion of the construction process scheduled for the third quarter of 2018, Campus 6 will comprise of four office buildings with a total leasable area of over 82,000 sq m.
Campus 6 is the second office building project which Skanska is developing in Romania after Green Court Bucharest A and B which it sold to London-listed Globalworth Real Estate Investments for 91 million euro in 2015.
Skanska Commercial Development Europe initiates and develops office property projects in the metropolitan areas of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Poland through its four local units. Its unit in Romania was established in 2011.
