BELGRADE (Serbia), December 15 (SeeNews) – Serbia’s November consumer price index (CPI) rose by 0.8% month-on month after edging down 0.2% in October, the country’s statistics bureau said on Tuesday.
On an annual basis, inflation accelerated to 5.9% last month from 5.2% in October.
The statistics office started calculating Serbia’s CPI in January 2007, seeking to make the measuring of Serbian inflation comparable with the harmonised inflation index used in the European Union. Before 2007 the statistics office used to release only data about changes in retail prices.
