November 14 (SeeNews) - Serbia’s Komercijalna Banka [BEL:KMBN] swung to a net loss of 1.779 billion dinars ($15.5 million/14.4 million euro) in the first nine months of 2016 from a 1.305 million dinars profit a year earlier, company data showed on Monday.
The bank attributed the loss to 7.4 billion dinars of asset impairment costs in the period under review, a double increase from 3.7 billion dinars a year ago.
Net interest income decreased by 0.7 % to 10.2 billion dinars, while fees and commissions income fell by 0.8% to 3.6 billion dinars.
The bank's capital adequacy ratio came in at 23.06%, well above the central bank's 12% minimum requirement.
The Serbian government owns 41.7% of Komercijalna Banka, the EBRD has a stake of 24.4% and the IFC Capitalization Fund owns 10.15%. DEG and SwedFund own 4.60% and 2.3%, respectively.
