September 15 (SeeNews) - Serbia's government plans to increase the minimum monthly wage in the country by 6.6% to 32,126 dinars ($325/273 euro) as of January 1, 2021, finance minister Sinisa Mali said.
The minimum hourly net wage will rise to 183.9 dinars from 172.5 dinars, and pensions will also be increased as of January 1 -- by 5.9%, Mali said in a statement on Monday.
"The government will also make a decision on increasing the non-taxable part of the salary to 18,300 dinars from 16,300. That is about eight billion dinars that the state will provide," Mali said.
In September 2019, the government increased the minimum hourly net wage by 11.1% - to 172.5 dinars from 155.3 dinars, as of January 1, 2020.
