April 22 (SeeNews) - State-owned power utility Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) turned to a net profit of 11.561 billion dinars ($118.2 million/98.4 million euro) in 2020 from 5.787 billion dinars loss in the previous year.
The company's revenue went up 1.4% to 247.1 billion dinars, while costs decreased by 2.2% to 228.5 billion dinars, EPS said in an annual financial statement posted on its website.
EPS produced 34.0 TWh of electricity in 2020, 1% above the planned output of 33.5 TWh for the period.
The electricity generated by hydropower plants was 5% above the plan, while coal-fired power plants' output was in line with the planned production of 24.5 TWh.
