February 13 (SeeNews) - Serbia's AIK Banka has launched a takeover bid for the 22.3% stake in Slovenian lender Gorenjska Banka it does not own yet, Ljubljana-based media reported on Wednesday.
AIK Banka, owned by Serbian entrepreneur Miodrag Kostic, has offered to pay 298 euro ($336.4) apiece for the 86,611 shares it does not control, daily newspaper Delo reported.

"AIK Banka currently owns 77.7% of Gorenjska Banka or 301,327 shares. The takeover bid, published in the Delo newspaper, refers to the remaining 86,611 shares that the bank does not yet own," public broadcaster RTV Slovenia said.
The deadline for accepting the offer is March 13.
In June, AIK Banka signed an agreement to acquire 111,773 shares of Gorenjska Banka from business group Sava and 15,719 shares from insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG]. The Serbian bank also agreed on the purchase of 5,331 shares in Gorenjska Banka from Slovenian electric motor manufacturer Domel in July, RTV Slovenia said.
According to data published on the website of Gorenjska Banka, AIK Banka holds a 34.6% stake in the Slovenian lender. The stake of Sava amounts to 37.65%, while the stakes of Zavarovalnica Triglav and Domel stand at 4.05% and 1.37%, respectively.
