BELGRADE (Serbia), December 29 (SeeNews) – Serbian shares extended gains as volumes surged on Tuesday on a block deal with shares of seed producer Agroseme, Belgrade bourse data showed.
Total turnover on the BELEX surged to 538 million dinars ($8.1 million/5.6 million euro) from 97.2 million dinars on Monday. Agroseme generated a turnover of 306 million dinars. Its share price remained unchanged at 1,620 dinars.
The bourse's blue-chip BELEX15 climbed 1.59% to 651.05 points on Tuesday after rising 1.87% in the previous trading session.
The broader BELEXline added 1.59% to 1,270.54 points after gaining 1.38% on Monday.
The joint SRX index of the bourses in Belgrade and Vienna picked up 0.92% to 284.20 points.
Twenty-three stocks lost ground, 18 rose and the share prices of 25 companies stayed flat on Tuesday.
In single price trading alcoholic drinks producer Prokupac increased 8.60% to 3,284 dinars in the highest non-block turnover of 131.6 million dinars.
Also in single price trading hairdressing company Higijena remained unchanged at 19,187 dinars in the second highest turnover of 13.5 million dinars.
In regular trading Chemicals producer Galenika Fitofarmacija jumped 10.7% to 6,819 dinars in the third highest turnover of 12.5 million dinars.
Furniture producer Simpo led the sliders, tumbling 10.16% to 557 dinars.
Drug maker Velefarm, which led the gainers again, soared 20.01%, ending at 1,727 dinars.
